What is a Bombproof Horse?

Posted by Dan on Feb 12, 2009 in Lucky Hit

When looking at a horse for sale you will find that you come across several different types of terminology when a seller has horses for sale. One of the terms that we often look for in purchasing a horse for children is that they are “bombproof.”

This trait is typically defined as a horse that turns a deaf ear to and a blind eye towards any type of “spooky” situation. These horses are typically considered excellent mounts for children and beginning riders because they tend to be very dependable and reliable. How do we know if they are bombproof?

Some may say that the only bombproof horse is a dead horse. In other words, expect even a bombproof horse to have a spook here and there. The only way to test if a horse is what someone would considered bombproof is to put the horse in a situation where you would expect a horse to spook. When looking to buy a horse that would be considered “bombproof” the best thing you can do is to ride the horse as much as possible and hope that when your child is riding he will not spook. There are some breeds that are more placid and tolerant than others and that should be considered as well.

A bombproof horse, typically, has a lot of confidence and has had a lot of exposure to life around him. Perhaps he has been shown, ridden in parades and taken to rodeos. These horses are more apt to be more tolerant of their surroundings and are horses that you can trust…most of the time.

A key to making sure that the horses for sale you are looking at fall into this category is to “test” the horse. If the horse is truly bombproof then the seller should have no objections to letting you wave a bag, or even make a few loud sounds that are common place where you ride.

Remember any horse for sale is first and foremost a business transaction and you work hard for your money, so “kick the tires” and make sure you go for a test drive a couple times before you buy your first horse. Just to make sure you don’t get a lemon!

Owning a horse has great reward and trials as well so make sure you put the advantage in your barn.

Good luck and happy trails!

Booking a Marbella Apartments Holiday

Posted by Dan on Feb 12, 2009 in Lucky Hit

It is easy to book your private holiday apartments in Marbella Spain these days due to the excellent range of professional websites providing property owners with numerous opportunities to rent out their homes to holiday makers seeking to book a holiday.

With package holiday firms finding it increasingly difficult to attract customers due to the perceived high profits being made by the likes of Thomson Holidays, Thomas Cook etc. The public are realising that web sites such as those specialising in regions such as Marbella, Nerja and Javea all provide a variety of villas at a range of price points to suit the individual looking for a better value holiday apartment vacation.

In fact the ease in which low cost flights can be booked separately has revolutionised the freedom to book holiday apartments etc at a far higher quality than you can expect to receive from a traditional package holiday supplier!   The result of which is that even the large holiday firms are developing their services to include separate apartment options with and without flights to more varied destinations in a hope to keep the holiday maker.

its a personal choice of course when it comes to booking a holiday, in my experience a like for like holiday – one being a package holiday – the other being a private apartment rental, the level of comfort and quality furnishings typically found in private holiday apartments with firms such as RentIn-Marbella or RentIn-Nerja for instance is eqivalent to a  four star or five star package holiday resort.  Yet is usually between 20%-50% cheaper than the eqivalent standard of a traditional package holiday when all costs are added together.

Real Estate Pay Per Click Ads Work Wonders For Realtors

Posted by Dan on Feb 12, 2009 in Lucky Hit

If you’re not familiar with Real Estate Pay Per Click marketing, you’re in for a treat. When people search for products or services online, they search by using keywords or keyword phrases. If you were to do a search on Google for “real estate” or “homes for sale”, you will see that the top spots in the search results are occupied by large nationwide real estate companies or companies that provide real estate services of some sort. These companies spend tens of thousands of dollars every month to maintain their high page rank in the search results.

At first glance, you might be saying to yourself, yikes, how can my real estate website compete with that? Here’s the good news. You don’t have to! Pay Per Click Advertising can put your ad right along side the big boys. The answer is simple. You don’t want your ad for your real estate website to come up in the search results for “real estate”. That’s too broad. You need to be more specific.

For example, you want your ad to be shown when someone searches “real estate in Glens Falls” or “homes for sale in Glens Falls” or “real estate listings in Glens Falls”. If you’re a Realtor in Glens Falls, that’s where you’re potential customers are looking. Your customers won’t type in “real estate” when they do their search. They will type in “real estate in Glens Falls”. The ‘natural’ search results listings will most likely be dominated by the big companies, but guess what? Glance over to the right and you can see your ad for your real estate website right along side the big boys.

Why is Pay Per Click Advertising Important for My Real Estate Website? If you’re a Realtor, having a professional Real Estate web presence will be an essential part of your business. However, just having a website will not guarantee success. You need to market your website. If your clients don’t know you’re there, you may as well have a lemonade stand in the middle of the desert. You might have the best lemonade in the world, but, if no one can find you, you’re not going to sell much lemonade. Just like other websites that sell products for a clean colon or clearing up pimples – you have to advertise that you are out there!

Pay Per Click Advertising is the fastest, most cost effective way for you to start marketing your website. In real estate, one good listing, or, buyer can turn into thousands in commissions. Your website being seen is important, but being seen by the right people is even more important. Grab a piece of paper and jot down some of the keyword search terms a client in your area might use to search online for your real estate services.

You might find putting together a list of fifteen or twenty keywords takes no time at all. If just five people in your area search each of your ten to fifteen keywords every day, that’s fifty to seventy five potential clients that won’t see your website. That’s every day! Type one of your keyword search terms into Google, chances are, you will see some of your competitors websites listed.

Would you like to see your Pay Per Click ad, for your real estate website right next to the results for your competitor’s websites? Real Estate is a competitive business. You should be competing for those leads. That’s why Pay Per Click advertising is important for your real estate website.
