Are The Top Pros Any Good For Golf Swing Tips?

Posted by Dan on Jun 18, 2009 in Lucky Hit

If you are looking for golf swing instructions, that might seem like a daft question. You might think that of course the top pro golfers are great for golf swing instructions, because who wouldn’t want to play like Tiger Woods, right?

Wrong.

Yes, of course we do all dream of playing like him and the other champion golfers, but with all due respect, it seems to me that there two main reasons why Tiger Woods would probably not be particularly good as your teacher.

The first one is that he is not a teacher, he is a professional golf player. His job, how he makes his living, is to compete in golf tournaments. He does not make his living as an instructor, so he has probably not had much (if any) experience or training in how to teach beginners or amateur players. Less gifted players have difficulties and questions that the top players may never have needed to address.

Even if they do have some of the same problems, before every practice or tournament round that he plays, while a champion golfer goes through his hour long warm-up working though his bag of clubs, he will be observed. He will be watched by maybe his fitness instructor, maybe his psychologist, but absolutely he will be watched by his coach! It is the coach that is the teacher, not the player.

In fact most champion pros, and Woods is no exception, will have changed their swing and other major points of their game at some point in their career. When they did, you can bet they did not do it all by themselves. They did it under instruction from their coach.

The second reason why professional golfers might not be the best guide to follow, is that their strokes are tailored to their style of game and their own physique and muscular structure. There is a huge variety of different styles when it comes to the swing. The intended end result is exactly the same for all of them, but each player goes about it in the way that best suits them.

This is a key point, because your most effective golf swing will be the one that makes the most efficient use of the body you have. Although it may be useful to watch instructional DVDs showing various different approaches, in the end you will not receive your most effective golf swing instructions from copying another person, as their swing has been honed for their own individual body.

These two key points are good reasons why you if you want to improve your game with good golf swing tips, seek golf swing tips from a teacher rather than a competing pro.

A Niche That Makes Money

Posted by Dan on Jun 18, 2009 in Lucky Hit

People that are successful niche marketers are experts at conducting quality market research and understanding areas that are not oversaturated… Paying attention to everything including your competition, your target customer, the industry and its trends and areas that are not being exploited all come into play… Someone I know decided to become an expert seattle realtor. Before they even got in the game, they spent countless hours researching everything there was to know about the subject, finding what the customer wants that the market isn’t providing is crucial!

Last weekend I got together with a girl I am close with and it felt like she was not really paying attention to much at all… I asked her what was wrong and she proceeded to give me this long drawn out story of a big project coming up at work and the fact that there aren’t enough people working on it due to recent layoffs. She was really bummed and said that she thought it might be the end of the company soon. Unfortunately, I find it hard to relate because I’ve been able to make money from home for quite some time now and I’m not afraid of loosing my job due to the fact that I’m self employed… Honestly, after knowing what I know now, I would never want to trade shoes with her.

There are almost a million ways to pay the bills but the ones that rich people like to do most often seem to revolve around passive and residual income. Niche marketing on the internet is extremely centered on gaining passive revenue streams… I know a seattle portrait photographer that has done very well positioning himself in a niche and building a portfolio of stock images that generate him a very nice income stream.

The point is that niche marketing is extremely important when trying to sell a product or service. The richest people on the planet understand the need to be the best at only one thing, leave the rest to others… It doesn’t matter if you’re a seattle photographer, a seattle real estate agent or an ambitious salesperson trying to make money online, with determination and effort you will reach the top of your niche!
