Becoming a Movie Maker: Digital Video Cameras

Posted by Dan on Nov 30, 2009 in Lucky Hit

Buying a digital video camera and digital video camera software can be a fun and exciting proposition, with many different easy to use options on the market today. There are also choices available whether the individual is a budget buyer and wants to stay under five hundred dollars on the purchase, or if they use the camera for their advertising business or other media production company and can spend thousands on a camera. Depending on the buyer, there are certain features that should not be neglected in order to have a quality product that can be enjoyed for years to come.

On a Budget

For buyers of digital video cameras who are on a tight budget, they will need to look for at least the minimum specifications in a camera. The lens of the camera should have a zoom of at least ten times on it as well as a stabilization feature so that the camera does not have to be on a tripod for filming. In addition, the megapixels should be over six in order to have clarity of picture and the ability to do some editing to the film. The illumination rating should be at a minimum seven lux so that the lighting does not affect the film quality as badly, as well as having an automatic exposure control so that the individual does not have to know as much about shooting video in order to still have a good video quality. Many meat traders are using their digital cameras to shoot pictures of pork ribs wholesale and then post them online.

The focus of the digital video camera should be automatic with the electronic zoom available with the trigger. The LCD screen should be large enough to clearly view the video, so about three inches is the best. In addition to these features, there should also be a FireWire, USB 2.0, A/V, S-Video, and a microphone port in the digital video camera for the different attachments and hookups.

Often, even with these budget digital video cameras, there are software programs that come with them to help individuals edit and specialize the videos once they are finished and want to store them. Some of these features are editing software that helps individuals to splice different sections together, add music or other sound recordings to the sound of the video clip, fade into and out of the video, and add captions. In addition, these cameras are also useful to pork meat traders, who use them to shoot videos of pork wholesale cuts so they can post them on their websites. There is also software available that can help individuals that have older versions of film recordings, such as 8mm or Hi8 video, and be able to convert those into digital recordings for better preservation of the film.

It is a perfect addition to any event including but not limited to Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, Corporate Events, Weddings and Anniversaries, Company Holiday parties, Sweet 16’s, Graduations, Reunions and Birthday celebrations. Guest will get two classic photo strips of 4 poses each that print out in less than 30 seconds. With high quality photos as a keepsake, your guests will always remember you made the event special with their memories etched forever. Photo booths are exploding in popularity.

At school events, such as Proms and Post Proms, the Portrait Studio is very popular. Different from the Photo Booth Rentals, this is open on all four sides. There are no curtains or privacy; just loads of fun. The Portrait Studio produces the same great pictures as the Photo Booths with the same choices of pictures. The choices are Portraits, Caricatures, Black and White and Fun Strips. They include 4 poses on 2 strips.

For my wedding, we rented our photo booth from The Event Experts in Folcroft, Pennsylvania. They offer both types of Photo Booth . The attendant was knowledgeable and professional and made sure everyone was having a good time. She managed to get everyone photographed. They saved one of the fun strips of each, for our wedding album; which was a fantastic touch on our special day.

Making an onsite scrapbook makes a great guest book at weddings, anniversaries and all events. Guest can leave their warm wishes along with one of their photo strips inside. You will be able to cherish their wishes without forgetting a face.

You never know exactly what you’re going to get……. See the crazy, wild, happy, sexy, spontaneous, and animated side of your guest. Having a photo booth rental seems to give a unique, fun and exciting twist to parties and other events. The booth will be the focal point of your event.

Are You Promote On The Internet

Posted by Dan on Nov 28, 2009 in Lucky Hit

Take a moment to think about how you would really answer this question. If given enough thought just about any business owner who utilizes the Internet for any purpose will likely find that whether or not they intentionally organized an Internet marketing campaign, they may already be marketing their products and services on the Internet. This article will examine some subtle ways business owners may already be marketing their business on the Internet.

Do you participate in message boards and include a link to your website in your signature? Again business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their website online.

Business owners will likely use certain words often depending on the type of products and services they offer just because it is natural and logical to do so. This tendency, however, can result in search engines boosting your website rankings for these particular keywords. The concept of SEO is much more involved and complex than simply using keywords frequently but business owners can gain some benefit just by naturally applying relevant keywords to their website.

Are you ready to start being successful and start making money online? It might take a little while for you to get the project payday you’ve been looking for but as long as you’re a treasure trooper, you will be able to generate residual income soon enough.

Do you solicit feedback from your customers online? This is yet another example of how business owners may be accidentally marketing their business on the Internet. Most business owners realize the importance of soliciting feedback from customers for business purposes and business owners who offer products online might solicit feedback in the form of online surveys. Although the business owners may be doing this simply for a business purpose the fact that it is done online makes it fall into the category of Internet marketing.

The first step of an email marketing campaign should be creating an email distribution list. This article will discuss some popular options for doing this and should help to the reader to learn more about what is acceptable and what is not when it comes to email marketing.

One common way to gain a list of email addresses is to purchase a list from distributors. However, this method is not very effective at all and we do not recommend it. The problem with purchasing an email list if you have no way of knowing whether or not the members of the list would have any interest at all in your products or services. This is very important because while you want to reach a large audience with your email marketing you also want this audience to be members of your overall target audience. When you purchase an email list you may be sending your email messages to some users who might be interested but this is largely coincidental and is not likely to be well received because the message was not solicited.

Internet users are very quick to delete materials they believe to be spam without even opening or reading the emails. In fact some Internet service providers include spam filters which may automatically delete your emails if your messages are deemed to be spam.

How to Repair Your Credit – Five Steps

Posted by Dan on Nov 27, 2009 in Lucky Hit

How to repair your credit has always been a very controversial issue. While most people advocate self help large number of credit repair companies who successfully serve consumers throughout the nation suggests that getting third party help is a viable option.

Never mind all the gossip and rumors you’ve heard about credit repair companies. Consider only what is really the case. It is certainly legal and possible to repair your own credit. It’s also true that you can do it successfully even if you are not very experienced in this matter.

But at the same time it’s also true that this matter often takes a lot of time and effort. Even though it’s certainly achievable, lots of people still choose to hire a credit repair agency because they feel more comfortable turning the matter over to someone who is experienced.

If you would prefer to learn how to repair your credit,  here are some simple steps. Now that you can see the “how”, you will be better able to decide if you want to do it yourself or hire a professional to do it for you.

All right let’s go.

Step 1
Procure a copy of your credit report. This is essential since in most instances on learning how to repair your credit, and will get you started your score is low due to erroneous entries that must be removed. Call 877-322-8228 or visit AnnualCreditReport dot com.

Step 2
Find the errors in your report and get to work on getting them deleted. Here’s what you’ll be looking for – erroneous entries, closed accounts showing as open, accounts incorrectly reported as being turned over for collection, etc.

Step 3
Draw up dispute letters – one for each credit bureau. Although you may have many errors on your credit report (by no means an uncommon occurrence) be careful about disputing too many at the same time, as the bureaus may choose to just ignore your dispute letter. You can attach documentation if you have any (copies only). This could improve the effectiveness of your dispute.

Step 4
Add good things to your credit report that will help your credit score. Make sure all on time payments are being represented. To improve your debt to credit limit ratio, getting a secured credit card can be a great help.

It would be good if you could pay off some debts, including credit cards. These should be the first to pay it off, because it will save you the most due to the high rates.

Step 5
However, a good and viable option is to hire a reputable credit repair company and take advantage of their expertise in how to repair your credit. This means that you need not learn anything about this matter; all you need to know as far as how to repair your credit, is how to go about finding a trustworthy company.

A few tips are in order; even if you have paid off your credit card account do not close it; If you do hire a professional agency

be on the lookout for scams; chose only those which have excellent reputation or that come with word-of-mouth recommendation. A good idea is to check with the Ethical Credit Repair Alliance, the “watchdog of credit repair companies.”

Advanced Life Support Encouraging CPR Guidelines Observation

Posted by Dan on Nov 26, 2009 in Lucky Hit

Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a treatment algorithm followed by healthcare professionals when a situation arises requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in cases of cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, stroke, or other related medical problems like poisoning. Advanced Life Support consists of CPR administration using oxygen administration via a bag or mask and chest compressions (see CPR Certification), which are now recommended at a 30:2 ratio of compressions to ventilations for adults, children, and infants to produce higher coronary and cerebral perfusion pressures. The electrical activity of the heart is monitored and depending on the type of cardiac arrhythmia, defibrillation is applied, and medications such as adrenaline (epinephrine), amiodarone, or atropine are administered. Saline or colloids may also be given intravenously to increase the circulating fluid volume in the body. End tracheal intubation may also be necessary to secure the airway in some cases, see Online CPR Certification.

While performing CPR, members of the Advanced Life Support team consider eight forms of potentially reversible causes of cardiac arrest, also known as “4H4T” as seen on the CPR Cetification Classes. The “H’s” are hypoxia (low blood oxygen), hypovolemia (low blood volume), hyper/hypokalemia (high/low blood potassium), hypothermia (body temperature well below normal), followed by the “T’s” which include tension pneumothorax (tear in the lung leading to collapsed lung and distortion of major arteries), tamponade (fluid or blood in the pericardium compressing the heart), toxic and/or therapeutic chemicals or medications, or thromboembolism (blood clot in the heart or lungs). Early intervention, early access, early CPR, early defibrillation, and early advanced life support save lives. This team of medical professionals consists of physicians from all disciplines, anesthesiologists, emergency medical technicians, and others trained in ALS designated to respond in a cardiac emergency.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is very much like ALS only it is designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in recognizing and managing critically ill infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest. There are medical emergencies specific to this age group, and the focus is placed on early recognition of distress as related to a specific medical diagnosis. ALS and PALS training is provided to healthcare professionals that work with adults and children, including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, and respiratory therapists, across the country by the American Heart Association. Just visit www.americanheart.org or www.heart.org for further discussion on new recommendations and all aspects of assessment and treatment of victims of respiratory and/or cardiac emergencies and stroke, including basic and advanced life support interventions.

3 Valid Reasons to Order Resveratrol Supplements Today

Posted by Dan on Nov 26, 2009 in Lucky Hit

If you are not too sure on Resveratrol, here are 3 simple reasons to buy resveratrol-

1. You see, this nutrient isn’t just limited to 1 or 2 health benefits. By taking this supplement you are able to reap the rewards of DOZENS of different health benefits. Pretty amazing, right? Let me amaze you even more by revealing to just a few of resveratrol’s incredible health benefits. Keep in mind though, these are only a few of the benefits which this nutrient has to offer – portion of article from Ezinearticles, John Blaisdale

2. Many researchers have done researches regarding various purported benefits of resveratrol, though still it is in its earliest stages. Studies have primarily been conducted on laboratory animals. It can be said from current research that resveratrol has an anti-aging properties that is called “The Fountain of Youth.” It is agreed in several medical arenas that those persons who are taking proper quantities of it in their daily diets, can get many key health benefits from resveratrol. – portion of article from Ezinearticles, Bony Yousuf

From the above two points, it appears that you should buy resveratrol for anti aging and other health benefits!

3. Resveratrol works by mimicking calorie restriction: A 20 year study recently was concluded in which rhesus monkeys given a calorie restricted diet where compared against those on a regular diet. The monkeys given the restricted diet lived significantly longer lives, and were healthier and more active for much longer than their counterparts with full bellies. Resveratrol works by activating the same “survival gene” that calorie restriction does. These genes, called Sirtuins , seem to be a powerful natural defense system against some of the biggest age related diseases. Scientists know that not very many people will be willing to go through the hunger pains that go along with the calorie restriction diet, so they are hoping that popping a few resveratrol pills everyday will be able to produce similar benefits. – portion of article from Ezinearticles, Jeremy Lucas

Convinced that you should buy resveratrol, then visit http://www.buyresveratol.org/ for the facts on the best supplements on offer

Lastly, make sure you consult your doctor for professional advice!

Top 3 Tips for Buying Whole Life Insurance

Posted by Dan on Nov 25, 2009 in Lucky Hit

Whole life insurance is a preferred choice among many individuals when it comes to choosing life insurance coverage. This type of insurance remains effective throughout the whole life of the individual that elects to purchase it. It works to provide benefits that are guaranteed when the person who is covered passes away. The only exception to the guarantee is when the individual who is covered commits suicide. In this guide, you will learn the top 3 tips for buying whole life insurance.

1. It is important to understand that premiums will need to be paid in order to keep a whole life insurance policy active. While it is true that this type of coverage is typically more costly than other types of life insurance, there are ways that you can save money. For example, it is best to pay your premium on an annual basis rather than a monthly basis. This will drastically reduce the amount of interest that you must pay over time.

2. If you enjoy earning a little cash, you may elect to become involved in what is referred to as a “Participating” whole life insurance policy. By doing so, you may receive occasional refunds or possibly even specific dividends when the insurance company experiences higher than usual profits.

3. When choosing this type of life insurance coverage, it is important to understand that it accumulates what is referred to as “cash value”. As a result, the policy may actually be considered an “asset” that can be used in making large purchases or acquiring loans. If you fail to uphold the payments of the policy after using the insurance as an asset, you may be required to pay taxes on the value of the policy or fees. You should ensure that you understand the criterion set forth in your policy regarding these areas of interest.

You should take the time to learn how you can save money on your whole life insurance coverage. It is also important to learn how participating whole life policies can benefit you, as well as the details surrounding the cash value of a policy and any regulations regarding using the policy as an asset. By using these top 3 tips for purchasing coverage, you will be able to find a policy that is right for you!

Digital SLR Lenses

Posted by Dan on Nov 24, 2009 in Lucky Hit

Digital lenses are without doubt one of the most important weapons in a photographer’s arsenal. They are also one of the most variable, coming in every conceivable weight, size and focal length, from the widest 10mm fish-eye to the longest 800mm telephoto lens. Whether your passion is to isolate fine architectural detail, or you are a landscape photographer looking to capture dramatic sunsets, there are many options for lenses, but they fall into four main categories.

Standard

Standard lenses for full-frame digital SLR cameras fall between 40mm and 55mm, 50mm being the accepted norm. Standard lenses are closest to the normal field-of-view of the human eye, offering undistorted perspective. They are often used for portrait photography. Many digital SLRs need a shorter focal length than a 35mm camera or full-frame digital camera, due to their smaller APS-sized sensor, and these cameras will need a 35mm lens to get the same field-of-view as a 50mm lens on a full-frame.

Wide-angle

Wide angle digital lenses are well suited to landscape and reportage photography, with their wider angle-of-view and shorter focal lengths than standard lenses. The need for shorter focal lengths to compensate for the APS sensor on many digital SLRs has led to an influx of new models. A typical digital wide-angle model might be 17-35mm, giving an equivalent field-of-view to 25-52mm on a full-frame SLR.

Macro

If you’ve ever looked at a full-frame picture of a small subject such as an insect or petals and wondered how it was achieved, the answer is by using a macro lens. Macro lenses focus from as close as 2 inches and allow for a 1:1 life size reproduction. These lenses are specifically designed for close-up photography and are usually available in focal lengths from 50mm to 180mm.

Telephoto

Any digital lenses with a focal length above 50mm are designated as telephoto. Portrait photography is ideally suited to short telephoto lenses (70mm to 120mm) and longer focal lengths (135mm to 300mm and beyond) are excellent for wildlife and sports photography. On most digital SLRs, with smaller APS-sized sensors, the magnification of a lens is increased by approximately 1.5 times, making a 200mm digital lens equivalent to 300mm on a full-frame camera.

Skin Cancer and Vitamin A

Posted by Dan on Nov 23, 2009 in Lucky Hit

The skin and mucosal cells (cells that line the airways, digestive tract, and urinary tract) function as a barrier and form the body’s first line of defense against infection. Retinol (vitamin A) and its metabolites (e.g. beta carotene which is converted to vitamin A) are required to maintain the integrity and function of these cells. (Proceedings of the Nutrition Society. 1999).

n 1999 Researchers from the University of Michigan reported that ultraviolet irradiation from the sun causes a major loss of retinoic acid receptors in skin cells. They concluded that ultraviolet irradiation causes a vitamin A deficiency that may have harmful effects on skin function, contributing to premature aging of the skin and the creation of skin cancer. (Nature Medicine 1999; 5(4): 418-422).

n 2001 researchers from The University of Texas, Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Arizona looked at the effects of sun exposure and retinoic acid (vitamin A) receptors in skin cells.

The study examined these effects in relation to squamous skin carcinogenesis (SCC) (the process by which normal cells are transformed into cancer cells).

They observed a progressive decrease in retinoic acid (vitamin A) receptors from normal skin to precancerous skin progressing to invasive skin SCC (squamous cell carcinogenesis).

Their results indicate that the suppression of retinoid (vitamin A) receptors occurs early in the precancerous stage and is associated with progression of squamous skin carcinogenesis (the creation of cancer). (Cancer Res, 61: 4306-10, 2001).

Swedish researchers, reporting in the journal Experimental Dermatology in 2003, used cultured normal human keratinocytes and melanocytes (skin cells) to examine the effects of UV irradiation on the main retinoid receptors in the human skin.

The keratinocyte is the major cell type of the epidermis (outer layer of skin), making up about 90% of epidermal cells. Melanocytes are cells located in the bottom layer of the skin’s epidermis.

The authors concluded that a depletion of vitamin A and retinoid receptors, together with other factors, by ultraviolet (UV) irradiation might seriously interfere with retinoid (vitamin A) signalling and therefore promote future tumour development, especially in keratinocytes (see above). (Exp Dermatol. 2003 Oct;12(5):563-71).

In 1993 Edes and a colleague at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Affairs Hospital, Columbia, Missouri, reported in a review that exposure to benzopyrene, a carcinogen (cancer causing substance) causes vitamin A depletion in exposed tissues.

They noted that the effect is apparent while on a vitamin A sufficient diet but significantly, without a decline in serum (blood) Vitamin A. In other words, benzopyrene depleted vitamin A even when the diet was adequate in the vitamin, and this depletion is not apparent in blood tests.

Benzopyrene also known as benzo(a)pyrene is found in coal tar, in automobile exhaust fumes (especially from diesel engines), tobacco smoke, and in charbroiled food. Recent studies have revealed that levels of benzopyrene in burnt toast are significantly higher than once thought, although it is unproven whether burnt toast is itself carcinogenic. (Wikipedia).

Reviewing the studies to date they observed that although these studies involved dietary intake of benzopyrene, it would be realistic to surmise cigarette smoke exposure would have a similar effect. (Ann N Y Acad Sci. 1993 May 28;686:203-11; discussion 211-2. Review).
