Put the Interest Back in Exercising

Remember when you used to be a kid? If you were like me, you were probably always outside running around with your friends. We were always playing mad games that required us to run and jump. I suspect we did not realize how healthy that was. Perhaps if we did, we would have attempted to avoid it more. perhaps not. I suspect the largest reason many of us don’t exercise today is because somewhere along the lines it changed from being something fun we just naturally did, to some structured beat down program to get or stay in shape.

I suspect the best thing to do to put the fun into an exercise plan is to find the kid in you again. Stop structuring every minute of your program to fit perfectly into some fat reduction plan you’re on. Plan out fun activities that may lead you to accidentally consume fat while you’re enjoying time with your pals and family.

Instead of going to the gym and running on the treadmill for exactly half an hour and not a second more, grab your family and some bikes and find a cool park to ride thru. Get the children outside and start up a neighborhood football game. Get a football ball and challenge your mates to a good game of soccer. The loser has to cook dinner. Take a jog in a beautiful park and luxuriate in the nature around you. Load up the kids and go to a lake. If you have got a ship, take up water skiing. If not, play Frisbee or volleyball on the beach. You do not need to be good at these games, just get out and have fun while your body uses calories.

Another good idea is to get on a sports team in the neighborhood. If you enjoy tennis, join a league. This is a great way to burn off stress, have a good time and burn energy without having to give it some thought. There are plenty of competitive sports you could become involved in if that’s's fun for you. If not, take up a sport anyway and just play with pals and family for fun. In any case, do some research and find some things you adore to do. It’s a good way to remain healthy and to teach your folks to live a healthy approach to life also.
