Going to the book fair

Posted by Dan on Oct 30, 2009 in Lucky Hit |

Last night we had parent teacher conferences for our Kindergarten student. They went ok, but the most fun part was going to the book fair and seeing all the neat books available to kids at a reduced cost. They ranged from early readers to advanced students. They had a few priced at $2.50, most were $5-$7. Since we were there on the last day I think we missed out on some good selections, but still managed to find quite a few that our young reader would enjoy.

I’m excited to go to this again next year, or even find one at a different school and go to theirs. The proceeds from all sales go back into the school which is very helpful.

Our son is doing well in school. His teachers consider him to be bright, a fast learner, and very good at math and reading. Most of all I want him to be recognized for his talents and be given every opportunity available. I was an A student in school and was able to be in any group I wanted. All the advanced activities were made available and helped shape who I am today. I want my son to have those same opportunities.
